The reading room is accessible by appointment only. You are welcome from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm.
Email your request to letterenhuis_leeszaal@antwerpen.be one week in advance, stating the date and time you wish to visit. You can also schedule multiple visits right away.
In the same email, please specify the archival materials you wish to consult, including references from our collection platform. Also, if you want to see documents you have already consulted that were set aside for you in the reading room on a previous visit, please mention that.
You will receive a reply from us confirming your appointment.

In 2026, the reading room is closed on the following days:
- every Monday
- weekends
- Thursday, 1 January – New Year's Day
- Friday, 2 January – New Year's Holiday
- Friday, 1 May – Labour Day
- Thursday, 14 May – Ascension Day
- Tuesday, 21 July – Belgian National Day
- Wednesday, 11 November – Armistice Day
- Friday, 25 December – Christmas Day
